  • Always have adult supervision

  • Always place on a hard, level surface

Dispose Correctly

  • Correctly dispose of all used fireworks
  • Hose down all fireworks with water after use and before disposal
  • Keep a bucket full of water (or a water hose) close by when shooting off

Keep pets indoors when doing fireworks (some react poorly to the noise)

Tips for a safe, fun holiday season with fireworks

*Always read and follow directions on label 

*Make sure an adult is present

*Use fireworks only outside

*Keep water handy-either in a bucket or a water hose

*Only light one firework at a time

*Never relight a "dud" firework (wait 15-20 minutes after trying to light it) then soak it in water

* Small children should never have access to fireworks

*If you aren't using the fireworks right away, it is best to store them in a cool, dry place

*When the fun is over, dispose of fireworks properly, by soaking them in water. Dispose of the fireworks in a trashcan 24 hours after lighting. 

*Never throw or point fireworks at other people

*Never carry fireworks in your pocket

*Never carry fireworks in glass or metal containers.

*The person lighting the fireworks should always wear eye protection and SHould never lean over fireworks

*Stay away from illegal explosives
